Sherman’s March (1986), directed by American documentary filmmaker Ross McElwee, has received a new 4K restoration to mark the 40th anniversary of its release.
Originally conceived as a film following the historic route of American Civil War general William Tecumseh Sherman, the project gradually developed into a personal record of the filmmaker’s life and the American South. The newly restored version will be screened at Film Forum in New York, click here for details.
